It was one story, out of the thousands of testimonials that there are, that triggered Braining. But this story is not unique; it didn't just happen once, it happens every day.
Braining is here to make sure no-one feels alone; no-one feels abandoned; no-one feels mistreated. We are here to make sure stroke survivors can get their independence back.
How it started
Our story began in a physiology class, where Nuno Almeida encountered a powerful case of a stroke survivor whose recovery was transformed by the support of his son. That moment revealed a deeper challenge: too many stroke survivors face rehabilitation without consistent, personalized support.
Inspired to change this reality, Nuno joined forces with João Ribeiro to create Braining. Together, they saw the potential of virtual reality and artificial intelligence to make rehabilitation more immersive, independent, and tailored to each patient’s needs.
With a multidisciplinary team combining expertise in technology, data, healthcare innovation, finance, and strategy, Braining is building a new path for stroke recovery.
